9 Aug 1760 Joseph Barnett to David Reid, Lancaster County, Penn, for 32 pounds, 200 acres Rockfish.  Witness:  David Crawford, John Reid, James Lackey, James Morrison.

11 Jun 1768 Joseph Barnett and wife Mary, Augusta County, to Matthew Nightingale for 130 pounds, 333 acres South side of Rockfish and both sides of Corbins Creek.  Lines: John Small of Rockfish, David Reid, Late Colonel Chiswell, Michael Montgomery, Alexander Reid, Francis Meriwether.  Witness:  Robert Barnett, John Barnett Jr, Jno. Barnett.

3 Aug 1772 Matt Nightingale and wife, Lucy, to John Merrill for 200 pounds, 333 acres South side Rockfish and both side Corbin Creek.  Lines:  John Small, line that is now Puckett’s on Rockfish, David Reid, late Colonel John Chiswell, Michael  Montgomery, Alex. Reid, Francis Meriwether.

8 Jan 1773 John Murril Sr. to Charles Irving, Factor for Henderson McCaul & Co. Deed of Trust 5 schillings.  343 acres on Rockfish.  Lines:  Alexander Reid, David Meriwether, John Puckett, David Reid.  Murrill bought it from Matthew Nightingale.  Witness: Clough Shelton, Reubin Jordan, James McCaul, Alexander Rose.

25 Jan 1774 John Murrill and wife, Rachell, to Charles Irving for 200 pounds, 333 acres on South side of Rockfish and both sides of Corbin Creek.  Lines:  John Small (now Rucker) on Rockfish, David Reid at mouth of Corbin Creek, late Colonel John Chiswell, Michael Montgomery, Alexander Reid, Francis Meriwether, Puckett.  Witness: John Old, Clough Shelton, Alexander Rose, William Henderson, James McCaul.

2 Dec 1776 Charles Irving, Albemarle, to Clough Shelton for 300 pounds, 333 acres on South side of Rockfish and both sides of Corbin’s Creek.  Lines: John Small, Puckett, David Reid at the mouth of Corbin’s Creek, late Colonel John Chiswell, Michael Montgomery, Alexander Reid, Francis Meriwether.
