CHARLES MARCUIS REID (28 May 1904 – 8 Dec 1906) was born in Clinton, Davis County, Utah the first son of Charles Morgan Reid and Esther Weir Stedman.
So delighted were his parents to receive a son to carry on the Reid name, that Charles was given the name of his father Charles and his Grandfather Marcus. Tragically, just as his sister Ethel had died prematurely, so too was Charles taken at an early age. At the age of 2 1/2 years he passed away while suffering from convulsions from the effects of pneumonia.
Were it not that his younger brother George Samuel had been born earlier in the year, Charles’ parents may have not been able to endure their second loss of a young child with so much promise.
Charles is buried near his family in the Clinton City Cemetery, in Clinton, Davis County, Utah.
