LOUISA JANE HILL (26 Apr 1853 – 30 Jul 1908) was born in Woodside, Gloucestershire, England the daughter of John Hill and Lucy Gibbons.

Louisa came to the United States in 1866. In 1868 Louisa traveled with her mother to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah with the Mormon pioneers in the Edward T Mumford Company.
After her arrival in Salt Lake, Louisa married William John Holt on 19 Nov 1873.
Louisa and William lived in Bountiful, Davis County, Utah. They had ten children of record:

- Elizabeth Lucy Holt (1876 – 1951)
- Joseph Samuel Holt (1878 – 1959)
- George Albert Holt (1880 – 1945)
- Sarah Louise Holt (1883 – 1949)
- Mary Ellen Holt (1886 – 1969)
- Amy Jane Holt (1888 – 1971)
- Marion Olive Holt (1891 – 1965)
- Willard Vermont Holt (1894 – 1978)
- Ralph Leo Holt (1896 – 1980)
Louisa died on 30 Jul 1908 at the age of 55, and was buried in the Bountiful City Cemetery, Bountiful, Davis County, Utah.
After her death, William married Nettie Gesford on 26 Feb 1913. William lived in Bountiful until his death on 31 Aug 1926 at age 76.
