WILLIAM JOHN HOLT (29 Jun 1850 – 31 Aug 1926) was born in Pendleton, Lancashire, England the son of John Holt and Elizabeth Rhodes.
William John Holt
William came to the United States in 1866. He traveled to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah with the Mormon pioneers where he met and married Louisa Jane Hill on 19 Nov 1873.
William and Louisa lived in Bountiful, Davis County, Utah. They had ten children of record:

- Elizabeth Lucy Holt (1876 – 1951)
- Joseph Samuel Holt (1878 – 1959)
- George Albert Holt (1880 – 1945)
- Sarah Louise Holt (1883 – 1949)
- Mary Ellen Holt (1886 – 1969)
- Amy Jane Holt (1888 – 1971)
- Marion Olive Holt (1891 – 1965)
- Willard Vermont Holt (1894 – 1978)
- Ralph Leo Holt (1896 – 1980)
After Louisa’s death in 1908, William married Nettie Gesford on 26 Feb 1913. Nettie died 26 Nov 1922. William lived in Bountiful until his death on 31 Aug 1926 at age 76.
William is buried in the Bountiful City Cemetery, Bountiful, Davis County, Utah.
